*A Brief History of the United Church of Christ
Descendants of Jacob GRUNDTISCH attended Trinity Reformed Church in Upper Sandusky, OH, and Abraham McCLAIN's descendants attended Emanuel Reformed Church, southeast of Upper Sandusky. When the Reformed Church merged with the Evangelical Synod in 1934, Trinity and Emanuel Churches became congregations of the Evangelical and Reformed Church. The Congregational Christian Church and the Evangelical and Reformed Church united in 1957, and the local churches became Trinity United Church of Christ and Emanuel United Church of Christ.

*A Brief History of The United Methodist Church
Descendants of Godfrey BLASER and James SWANN were active members of Salem Evangelical Church, east of Upper Sandusky, OH. When the Evangelical Church united with the United Brethren Church in 1946, the local church became Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church. In 1968 it became Salem United Methodist Church after the EUB Church and the Methodist Church joined together. Godfrey BLASER and his son John Henry BLASER were ministers in the Evangelical Church, and Blaser and Swann descendants are buried in the Salem Church cemetery.
