UPDATES

Look here for current information about our matches prior to coming to Ft.Gordon.

Ft. Gordon Medic Requirements: After 20 some years of requiring PSMA to have a 1st Aid/CPR qualified shooter in order to open the range, Ft. Gordon has raised the bar substantially. Henceforth, our medic must be a currently certified doctor, dentist, nurse, EMT or Combat Lifesaver. Tina Dick, wife of member Brian Dick and an RN, graciously agreed to act as medic for the July 21st match on a few hours notice. No one could be found for the Sunday match and it was cancelled as a consequence. Unless a lot of doctors immediately join PSMA, we will probably have to rent an off-duty EMT in the Augusta area, or pay Ft. Gordon something on top of the current $4 per shooter charge to furnish one. If you know of anyone with the above credentials (minimum requirement is licensed to administer an IV) who would like to join/shoot or maybe make a few bucks serving in the Medic capacity, please let one of the club officers know ASAP! Match cancellation will be on SHORT NOTICE unless we have a large enough pool of qualified people to draw from and schedule them far enough in advance.

NOTICE: If you usually have a handgun in your vehicles glove box, you'd better make sure it stays home. A vehicle search at the gate may be mandatory!

If you have any questions not answered here, please contact the President.
