Ft. Gordon, Georgia / Range 4

Monthly matches at Ft. Gordon are held on Saturdays and are 80-shots with sighters. Sundays matches are 20 shots for record at 600 and 1000 yards with unlimited sighters and a time limit of 30 minutes: 1-600 yard any rifle/any sight, 1-1000 yard metallic sights, and 1-1000 yard any rifle/any sight. Rifles are limited to .30 caliber.

Check our "Updates" page for the most current information. First round downrange is at 8:30...please be at the range by 7:30 for squadding and getting your target in the air.

The Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club shoots a 50 shot NMC on the second Sunday of the month. Their range is an excellent 300 yard reduced course with a clubhouse and restroom facilities. Current schedule is: Feb 2, Mar 2, Apr 6, May 4, Jun 8, (Jul match is a 40 shot Historical Military Rifle Match), Aug 31, (no match listed for Sept), Oct 5, Nov 2, Dec 7, 2003. Directions to the Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club:

Take exit 85 on I-77 North (hwy 160 / Fort Mill ). Turn right (south) on Hwy 160 and go until it intersects (dead ends)with Hwy 521. Turn right (south), when you pass Indian Land High School (on the right), go approximately 2 miles to Jim Wilson road on the left (There is a tire store on the corner.) Turn left, and go ( 3 miles Stop sign, go straight, 2 more miles) until you see the North Carolina State Line marker. Our entrance is on the left.

 

River Bend Gun Club's High Power matches are shot on the second weekend of the month. They have an EXCELLENT full distance 600 yard range with restroom facilities and Port-a-jons. The Greenville Gun Club shoots the first Sunday of each month. They shoot an 800 aggregate on a 300 reduced course range. They have restroom facilities and an excellent range. For additional information, contact information is available on their web site. For their current schedule, click here.

 

The Belton Gun Club is located at: 153 Range Rd. Belton, SC 29627. They are currently in the process of building their High Power program and appreicate having you shoot with them. They have a 300 yard reduced course of fire which shoots the 3rd Saturday or Sunday of the month, 80/50 shot XTC.

From Columbia:

Exit off I-385 at exit #23 (Hwy 418)

Take Hwy 418 West towards Ware Place.

At the intersection of Hwy 418 and Hwy 25, turn left and go about 200yds.

Turn right onto Hwy 247.

Follow Hwy 247 for approx. 6 miles.

After crossing over creek on new concrete bridge, go 3/8 mile.T

Turn left onto Mattison Rd. (second road to left after bridge)

Go .6 mile on Mattison Rd.

Turn left onto Chapman Rd.

Go 1.3 miles on Chapman Rd.

Turn left onto Corner Rd. (street sign for Corner Rd. only labeled on side not visible from this direction. Watch odometer.)

Go .6 mile on Corner Rd.

Turn left onto Range Rd.

Enter gate to club house and range.

 

From Greenville:

Go South on Hwy 25 to intersection of Hwys 25, 418, and 8.

Turn right onto Hwy 247.

Follow above directions from this point to range.

 

From Easley, Clemson, and points West:

Take Hwy 8 East towards Ware Place.

At intersection of Hwys 25, 8, and 418, turn right onto Hwy 25.

Go about 200 yds. And turn right onto Hwy. 247.

Follow above directions from this point to range.

Programs and entry cards are available. Copies will be mailed to those individuals, except active duty Service, who competed in the 2005 National Championships and the CMP National Trophy Matches. All others must write the NRA Competitive Shooting Division, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030-9400, requesting a copy of the 2006 National Rifle and Pistol Championships program indicating phase desired: Muzzle Loading, Pistol, Smallbore Rifle, or High Power Rifle. You may also request to compadmin@nrahq.org
